Thanks for thinking of that. I am not a fan of a design by committee and allowing the wide public to vote on what they think should be and what so not. I totally agree with your point and I‘d love to redesign the logo (with a better approach than 9 years ago)

Switched our team at Ura Design to a 4 day work week 2 months ago and love it. It feels like productivity is still at least the same and we get to enjoy fridays with our loved ones and take care of our own lives while work can wait one more business day.

OpenAI has just booted Sam Altman as CEO and removed him from the Board of Directors and they are not being shy about their reasons. openai.com/blog/openai-...

Mr. Altman’s departure follows a deliberative review process by the board, which concluded that he was not consistently candid in his communications with the board, hindering its ability to exercise its responsibilities. The board no longer has confidence in his ability to continue leading OpenAI.

My favourite Twitter moment was when I got connected to an actor from Better Call Saul (the prequel to Breaking Bad). He played Kai, one of the construction workers who built Fring's underground lab. We still follow each other.

The way to build a resilient forum for public conversation that lasts for the long-term is to build it on an open protocol, like the web itself. Services like websites can be built on top, but each can be run differently, and if users can easily move it keeps services accountable to users.

I must say that I love how alt images descriptions are much more used here on Bluesky than on Twitter. On Twitter, I saw more alt tags being used for AI image prompts than actual accessible image descriptions.

Mastodon falls down on this - they have a public feed but it’s a mess because they don’t believe in algorithms. They show you random users but you can’t follow them quickly. These seem like minor UX differences but when they make up the key mechanic of a site, they end up mattering a LOT.

*blushes* I'd love to see how UX and Product Design will be part of Bluesky's strategy. I am biased but I firmly believe that having a UX advocate as early as possible in a product team, ensures the product doesn't create unmanageable design debt later on.
