I’m excited to reveal Delighted Halfling, my first card for MtG's Hobbit set. It was a pleasure to paint this small Halfling child! Thank-you to Art Director Sarah Wassell for bringing me onto the project, and to Wizards for giving me this preview card to share. #Hobbit #MtG

A Magic card from "Hobbit" mtg set, Delighted Halfling, showing a small girl with dark hair shading her eyes on a grassy hillside, under a sky filled with puffy clouds.

I've had to unfriend a few fans lately, all for the same reason. They made ridiculing, unkind, and in some cases outright cruel comments about pictures I posted of young women cosplaying Jessica.
More than a person, Jessica is a state of mind. To play Jessica, you need self -confidence, a sense of humor, and a Jessican -attitude-. There is no such thing as a Jessica cosplayer being too short, too flat chested, too heavy, too thin, too unattractive, too black, too Asian, or even too male!!! All Jessica, any Jessica, every Jessica is good Jessica.
I'm not giving any warnings or second chances. A single disparaging comment on a Jessica cosplayer, and I'm throwing you out of the rainbow colored Toontown Tent.

as you know, this is the year of drizzt for me. love that autistic elf. imagine if people were like 'you weren't there you can't discuss these books now' instead of 'omg you're in for such a good time' there are legit people in the ffxiv fandom who think this way for ffxiv storytelling

i feel like the fandom obsession with things being Canon™ has led to so many people having no idea how to handle something being Implied but not outright stated. which leads to picking up on clues intentionally left by the author being given the same weight as headcanons pulled out of thin air

So I learned Game Key Card games are basically ~100 MBish base game and the entire game is contained in the update data. Even if you take it digital, it has this very small and basically useless base game data downloaded. That explains a lot of things.

Text from dialog in FFXIV. Gyoshin, a namazu, says: "But I think that what we do is what defines us. Gathering because we want to gather. Crafting because we want to craft. Even when no one sees its meaning, its worth, its value, we simply...do. That is what makes a disciple of creation.
