i don't click on new york post articles but i can't honestly say it's because of any principled stand. it's because it has so many ads that if you let it all load the page weight is around 2 gigs. you could load one article claiming that sidewalks are bad or you could run about 500 copies of doom

The 'problem' is that there used to be a point where cars- even small ones- became too physically demanding for most elderly people to drive. Now, they have power everything and no clutch which means people who can't pour a cup of tea without spilling it are out and about.

My mother has opined in the past that I don't 'need' a fast car. When I had to stand the thing on its nose this weekend to avoid someone who knew what they were doing when Queen Victoria died in a Hyundai i10, she has come around to the idea of very large, vented brakes.

Used to have dealings with two PR ladies at the same firm; one a whisker over 5ft, the other 6ft 4. The short one was FAR more obsessed about partners' height (although the tall lady did eventually marry a chap who was 6ft 6; presumably to sire some space marines).
