Right now, algorithms serve people misogynistic and far right content without looking for it, leading them down hateful paths they would otherwise never have encountered AND there are no basically repercussions for individuals sharing factually inaccurate or hateful things to millions of people.

Fwiw my (un-expert!) thoughts err against allowing companies to decide what is or isn't ideologically appropriate to post, but there should be controls on algorithmic promotion (only see content you've chosen to follow not been fed) & regulation of highly followed accounts basically as broadcasters.
