Life update, for those who don't follow me on Twitter: shit's still kinda fucked, but I'm in a much better place than I was this time last year. Because this time I am filled with an uncompromising motivation to get shit in order.

Man, looking back on this about a year later is pretty funny.

So, I pushed out a big update for Equinox. An update that essentially fills out just about everything that wasn't touched in 2.5... and I think the predominant emotion I'm feeling right now is exasperation.

KH4 might've been a no-show, but I've won anyway.

If Kingdom Hearts IV gets re-revealed at the State of Play - and that is a mighty big if - then I will share something about the last Equinox form that hasn't been publicly showcased yet.

So, hear me out. I feel like the film Thunderbolts* may be for Bucky Barnes in the MCU what Dream Drop Distance was for Riku in KH.

Zay. @echoimagine.bsky.social · 05/02/2025

Well. Things are moving again, on the modding front. I think I might actually see a release for Equinox 3.0 in the near future. (As opposed to a big question mark.)

Hate to do this, but I really need help, guys. The reserves I had from my last semester at school have completely run out, and I need money for food and gas. At least enough to get me through a few weeks.

Zay. @echoimagine.bsky.social · 24/01/2025

I'm gonna be honest, I'm so tired from working on this update that I think I'm just gonna casually drop it when it's done. No trailer, no big fanfare. Just a little "here you go, hope you enjoy it."

Feel like today's a good day for me to mention how much I love and respect Tetsuya Nomura. Seriously, it fascinates me to this day how he perceives things and I will take every bit of content that is just him explaining his creative process and/or mindset regarding his works.

You know, I don't see a whole lot of posts on here from Kingdom Hearts fans. Let's do something about that! Gonna make a thread of questions for you guys. #kingdomhearts

16 years ago today, Dissidia Final Fantasy was originally released as a PlayStation Portable exclusive in JP. It was developed and published by Square Enix.

All this Clive Tekken content is kinda making me want to give Tekken a try... but fighting games aren't really my forte, so I feel like it'd be kind of a waste of money. For me, anyway.

I wonder how much Dirge of Cerberus will be in Part 3 of the Remake trilogy. Like, I'm sure Deepground will probably make a comeback in a big way, and Vincent will have a lot more to do, but I'm wondering how much more of Dirge's influence we'll see.

FFVII Rebirth Director Naoki Hamaguchi says his favorite character in the FF7 franchise is Cloud. Producer Yoshinori Kitase's favorite is Vincent. He didn't have a big role in Rebirth, but he's looking forward to him in the next installment. (Reddit AMA, 12/13)

I’ll cross post this thread here on Bluesky Please don’t tell me people twisted “Geoff talked to Nomura” into a KH rumor?? Like… that’s just willful twisting to drum up hype at this point. It’s very known Nomura was on the Rebirth production team 👀 This is why the KH team stays silent

While I was the most vocally excited about FFVII Rebirth being announced for PC, I think the most interesting part of the Game Awards was that reveal from GenDesign. The game that looked like a sort of spiritual successor to Shadow of the Colossus.

No matter what happens at #TheGameAwards tonight, FFVII Rebirth remains a phenomenal achievement and one of greatest gaming experiences I’ve ever had. Share if you agree.

Even if Rebirth doesn't take home any awards, I'll be chill. One, because of the PC announcement. And two, because it's already got a ton of accolades already.
