I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.

wrote on saturday that trump was not going to let democrats avoid the question of impeachment and here we are with an offense that would have had a president impeached, removed and *at least* exiled if it had happened at any point prior to now.

Donald Trump is going after his political opponents. The raid targeting Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is an abuse of power. Last week, Trump attempted to incite a race war against the Somali community, and today he’s abusing his power by going after our congresswoman. Jason Chavez

most of the headlines about this are complicit with the fascists in power, but let’s be clear: they raided her house because of who she is, not because she’s done anything to justify this treatment. the president shouldn’t be able to weaponize the government against his political enemies.

A good fresh Star Trek take on those fake isekai title jokes
A tumblr screenshot showing a post and two reblog responses, reading:
1. "star trek would be the ideal fictional universe to get trapped in because you'd explain your situation and they'd be like yeah makes sense. no further questions. fortunately we can use the mysterious warp signature emitting from this system's icy moon to counterface with the solar radiation and slingshot you back home"
2. "I'm from a universe where your world is all a work of fiction." Benjamin Sisko, nodding. "That happened to me once."

In the spirit of this entire thread, and the perverse psychology that goes into it: if you haven't watched Kaguya-sama: Love is War... do. It's an anime whose lead characters start in almost this exact place psychologically, AND THEN GROW OUT OF IT. It's amazing and hilarious.

I know this run is Ironman so you can't do that here... ... but this is why I make a new save every time a focus finishes, and why I generally don't play Ironman. I've made very good use of that to fall back and revise my approach in numerous runs. 😇

👋 Media expert here! This isn't cute or funny actually? Comms teams only do this when they're in extreme distress www.the-independent.com/news/world/a...
Early this month, The Washington Post reported that at least 50 law enforcement officers were charged with or accused of misusing Flock cameras and other surveillance systems, including to stalk women.

In August alone, local officials in four states decided to pull the plug on Flock cameras in their cities, at least temporarily.

The Independent has reached out to Flock for comment, but its media team said it was currently “taking a break” from responding to requests.

I think part of the pundit crack-up has been that they missed the big call of their lifetimes about which was the bigger threat to America: wokeness or authoritarianism. And rather than admitting that, they are doubling down on wokeness, while ignoring an authoritarianism that does not threaten them
