As mentioned above, the planet is at about a 45-degree tilt relative to its sun, so the Arctic/Antarctic zones are quite larger than on our Earth. Rama is well within the Arctic circle, though, probably roughly at the latitude of Iceland, and sees 2-3 months of polar day/night per year. #Septopolis
