I don't think Sony will walk back their decision to kill physical games. As long as the suits are in power Sony and Microsoft will continue to be harmful to games. Incredible brand destruction for both. Valve's and Nintendo's leadership actually plays games. Those are my platforms from now on.

RIP physical games. PS6 will complete the transformation to a rental platform, where you pay a subscription fee to access games you've already bought. I honestly hope EU regulators will make the storefronts change their store text to 'Rent' or 'License' instead of 'Buy' or 'Purchase'.

Ys I & II (1989) | action RPG | TG-16 CD | Alfa System Hudson Soft published a remake compilation of Ys I & II for the PC Engine CD in Japan which made its way over to the West, riding the CD-ROM wave with improvements including an extensive intro featuring an enhanced score and voiced narration!

Microsoft losing the plot to the extent that games running on Linux through a compatibility layer are now not only faster but *assumed to be faster* than games running natively on Windows should be an even bigger story than it already is

For gaming, Microsoft views steamOS as the benchmark, and is working to optimize the platform so that steamOS and Windows gaming performance are comparable. Within the next year or two, it believes that Windows will be able to truly compete head-to-head with steamOS in gaming performance on identical hardware due to foundational changes that are being made to the platform in the coming months.

Got stick drift with my less than a year old PS5 DualSense controller. Made playing Death Stranding 2 pretty maddening. First time for me to carefully take the controller apart and deep clean it. Seems to have fixed it… for now at least. DS2 is absolutely supposed to be played with a DualSense.

Shutting down Bluepoint makes close to zero sense from the outside. On PS5 launch Demon's Souls was *the* reason to buy the console. I hope one day we will get to hear what made Sony toss Bloodborne aside. It *has* to be some pretty bad blood between FromSoftware and Sony at this point.

The best narrative-driven CRPG in the last 25 years. They grew up on the same games I did 80 kilometers to the north in Finland. I first visited Tallinn in 1994 when the ghost of the Soviet Republic was still soaked in there deep. Impossible to not feel that connection with this game.

Bought Keychron K2 HE SE, a 75% keyboard with magnetic (hall effect) switches. Incredibly responsive. Very good for both typing and gaming. I’m still not quite sure about the 75%, though — I realize I’ve been taking right shift being directly under the enter key for granted. #Keyboard #Keychron
