She didn't need WoT, WoT needed her. I'm stoked to have seen her play one of my favorite WoT characters, and she knocked it out of the park. 131

shar @dykelctics.bsky.social · 20/04/2025the wheel of time writers' choice to have everyone in the white tower hall ignore the fact that siuan was sobbing her eyes out when she exiled moiraine is so funny 150
shar @dykelctics.bsky.social · 20/04/2025I loved the impossibility of lesbian desire on WoT but what happened to Moiraine and Siuan is still so devastating my god ... if S4 happens I am like half sure Moiraine is gonna break her bond with Lan then off herself 😭 020
shar @dykelctics.bsky.social · 20/04/2025Matlock is firing on all cylinders. Kathy Bates and Skye P. Marshall are soooooo goood 000
shar @dykelctics.bsky.social · 20/04/2025People should stop infantilising Sophie Okonedo ... she guest starred once in WoT S1 and twice in S2 (relatively small scenes) while performing in plays and acting in other shows. It was obvious she wasn't for the long haul, especially with someone of her caliber and reputation 2102
shar @dykelctics.bsky.social · 19/04/2025The Wheel of Time is very good at maximising nuance with little time. This shot of Moiraine only lasts a second - in one out of a thousand futures, she had Siuan's Tairen's tattoos, testifying to a devotion so deep that she left nobility for a life on the river, and loved it. 2322
shar @dykelctics.bsky.social · 19/04/2025i just know the white tower is like "what do you mean siuan and moiraine were together? i thought siuan hated her ass" right now 😭 030
shar @dykelctics.bsky.social · 19/04/2025Thinking of Lanfear who is three thousand years old and has never been able to love anyone unconditionally or have that love reciprocated. Yet Lanfear saw that Moiraine's grief over Siuan - a woman who betrayed her - is real and sincere and it surprises her. LOVED THAT. 1121

Reposted by sharSB Paxson @sbpaxson.bsky.social · 19/04/2025Not to mention, how tragically gay is it for her to go out saying “I love her & I dedicated my life to our shared mission?! It not the job or life I would have chosen for me or us but it was worth it. I’ll stand here all day & defend that no matter what you do to me.” So heartbreakingly beautiful 😭❤️ 1222
shar @dykelctics.bsky.social · 19/04/2025Rarely do shows commit to exploring lesbianism as praxis (I refer to Monique Wittig on this) but WoT posits - thematically - that lesbian desire is inextricable from a critical investment in utopia. & not in a naive sense, but a utopia that demands disappointment 130
shar @dykelctics.bsky.social · 19/04/2025The people don't know this but Elsbeth is secretly the gayest show of the year ... not gay as in there are gay characters but gay because they have Mary-Louise Parker in a bisexual throuple and she murdered her husband to get the girl all to herself 020
shar @dykelctics.bsky.social · 19/04/2025There are issues with WoT but I don't think it's particularly fair to compare Siuan's death to shows like The 100 and Killing Eve - the latter two weren't particularly invested in centring lesbianism as praxis 191
