Truly every session of Public Access has been better than the last. 9 sessions in, and my players are constantly surprising me, creating amazing moments of tension, and just knocking it out of the park. This may be the most fun I've ever had GMing, and I fucking LOVE GMing. Play this game!

Off the top of my head it is hard to say, as I've seen a lot over the years. I've seen arguments both for and against binary success/failure as if one is definitively correct, instead of just one possible option.

I see some negative reviews for "friendslop" games saying they are only fun for like 5 hours. I've dropped $35 to spent 45 minutes in an escape room. I'm more than happy to drop $7 for 5 hours of laughter and fun with my friends. Slop me up.

My partner just explained everything about Wonka's The Golden Ticket to me, and I've never hated a show this much without even seeing a trailer for it. AI Gene Wilder voice, cash prize for winner, and the contestants are all fairly affluent adults and no kids (you know, the focus of the movie)

Good drywall anchors definitely exist, but yeah, those ones that typically come with products are often so bad as to be near worthless. I keep a stock of high quality ones that each fulfill different purposes. Depending on application, they range from useful to necessary.

I couldn't handle it. I needed a break from Dungeon Crawler Carl. Book 5 was just...look, I have opinions, but I'll get back to it. Probably. Instead I'm revisiting Terry Pratchett with "Guards! Guards!" and I have not a single regret. Sam Vimes is how you make an abrasive MC you can cheer for.

I will also say that I recent gave a go with Outgunned: Superheroes and there was a lot to love. If you haven't done Outgunned, it is basically"Action Movie: The TTRPG." In some ways reminds me of Blades in the Dark, but very much its own thing.

Heck yeah! I've been a big big fan of Sentinel Comics, as I feel it is a really nice cross-section of narrative and crunch with ranked powers. Also, there is a pacing mechanic that I adore! Masks is great if you enjoy PbtA and just want no crunch, which, at times, I like, but not always.

I think that was just writers not thinking, not some malicious attempt to get the public to accept Flock surveillance or something. The movie was still pretty fun an a visual treat. Worth it to see in theaters? I mean, if you go to a discounted showing like I did...sure. Not sure if that helps lol

You know that whole scene in that Batman movie where he hacks into every phone, and Morgan Freeman is like "This is wrong," and they trash it after? Yeah, Spider-man does the same shit but it's like "yay, how clever." And in our current society, that felt a little...gross.

I'll say, as someone who hasn't enjoyed an MCU movie or show in years, that I enjoyed the new Spider-man. It is visually one of their better offerings, and action and dialog was fun. That said, I'm not sure if other folks were as uncomfortable with the Spidery-Surveilance state as me, but eugh...

Like, for big fans of the genre I would still pretty heavily recommend trying it, if only for appreciate of the historical significance (and because it IS fun), but I would never sell it as the greatest. Not even top 5 for me personally, and this game was my everything as a youngster!

As someone who will happily say Super Metroid is one of my favorite games, nostalgia plays heavily into that. I love it, and it is very well made and solid for the time, buuut you are absolutely right. There are plenty of Metroidvanias that have built upon SM and surpassed it.

Back in the day, I exclusively used this huge, off-set trackball mouse. Loved it for a decade, but it finally bit the dust. When I looked for an identical one, there were none, so I've used a "normal" mouse for the last 8 or so years. But then I looked again...and the style is back and improved!
