I've been on hold with a company for an hour and 19 minutes, and also when does stubbornness tip over into stupidity?

On the plus side, I think this might be the first time I've ever held any opinion about a tactical decision in football which has turned out to be correct. So there's that.

Bother. Well, I've not seen a better England white ball side for a while. But they're not there yet. 🏏

A reminder that before the match everyone is going on about, England are playing a world cup FINAL today at Lords at 3:30. Truly frustrating to hear the lack of coverage on 5 Live this morning.

Gosh AI posters are bad aren't they? My Facebook is awash with terrible, overdesigned AI slop adverts for school fetes, pub BBQs, etc etc. Folks, stop it - they look awful.

The personal consequences are the most important thing here, but it is worth mentioning that Exeter is a major hub for Arabic/Islamic studies. Following on from Lancaster, Kent and Nottingham, our country's ability to talk intelligently about religion is being erased as religious prejudice rises.

Given AI bots are famously over the top in heaping praise on you for every little thing, I'm really quite hurt that when I cracked my tractor joke to Chat GPT it told me "half the room will laugh, and the other half will stare at you like you’ve just wasted 45 seconds of their life."

Thoroughly excited about Artemis II launch, getting 'It would be unwise to stay up for the first ball of the Ashes but I think I'm going to anyway' vibes. Incidentally I saw a space launch in person once, unmanned satellites but was still fairly mind-blowing.

The Quiet Revival thing has me utterly unsurprised. It always felt like there had been a lack of critical thinking in response to the YouGov figures. Given what Jesus told us about his search for the one, single, small sheep, it's amazing how often the church loses its head in big numbers.
