The main missing component has been thunderstorms around the low pressure system, which (though it tried) did not occur for a sustained period. Hence, why it was not classified and will not get a name unless something changes.

5:55 PM EDT, 9/26: It does not appear #thunderstorm activity held on for long with the #NorEaster. Either which way, the storm system is causing quite a bit of disruption with #poweroutages, coastal #flooding, heavy #rainfall, and gusty #winds (which have brought down trees and powerlines).

The central pressure of Hurricane Polo is measured to be 889 millibars. That means more than 11% of the typical atmosphere at sea level is missing from the storm's center. It is the second strongest storm on record in the eastern Pacific Ocean, and one of the strongest in Earth's modern history.
