These are clear signs that the US is well on the road to Fascist dictatorship just as Germany was in the 1930s when Hitler took over. Academics no longer feel safe. Nobody is allowed to express an opinion that does not conform to the ruling party line under threat of imprisonment or deportation.

You don't have to go to IG, there's a perfectly usable alternative called Pixelfed. Lots of different local servers, no central ownership, so nobody can buy it up later. And when you've got your account setup and posts added, it looks just like Instagram. #Pixelfed
