underrated part of El-Sayed’s messaging strategy seems to be shaming journalists who ask dumb questions that play into right-wing frames. you can’t answer these in a way that satisfies them, but you can make it embarrassing enough that you impose a toll on asking.

That’s a great video discussing an invasion scenario, but that isn’t the most likely one. A blockade is more likely, with intent to starve and strangulate the island until they surrender without shots fired.
