Huh that's weird. I clicked on it and saw all my favourite childhood movies, books and TV shows and video games come out, also my beloved Bionicle still being sold in stores. How could anyone not love this era? Back when we all didn't need to worry about having jobs and school wasn't stressful.

It's kind of insane how desperately WB is trying to resuscitate the brand for the next generation of kids this year. Like I get it's the big 25th anniversary of the first movie but we can all see that you're trying to build up hype for a TV show version that no one was asking for.

Finally played through the original Luigi’s Mansion for the first time. I get why people like it but I gotta say I think both the sequels are miles better. The puzzles have far better design and variety and Next Level comes with so many fun and interesting ways to use a vacuum.

Pokémon Diamond: First game I owned in arguably my favourite game series. Super Smash Bros. Brawl: First multiplayer game I got really into. Donkey Kong Country Returns: Gave me a love for high difficulty platformers, one of my favourite genres. Doom: Was my gateway into playing M rated games.

Wild to see someone look at Classic Sonic and say he was somehow targeted at a teen audience. The only time Sega ever tried to appeal to that audience with Sonic was when they gave Shadow a gun and had him say “damn”.

Went to my 20 year high school reunion. You can tell we graduated in the 2000s - no younger and no older - because everyone was taking pictures/videos in landscape. Before Insta/Snapchat/TikTok, shooting everything in portrait was a marker of old tech-illiterate people. Alas.

It’s amazing how many people go see a movie without looking anything up about it. I saw a family take their kids to see The Long Walk and leave halfway through when the premise was spelled out for them.

My sister was at a used game store and got me this as a gift. For some baffling reason it’s rated T when the other versions on consoles and GBA are E 10+. The ESRB website only lists “Fantasy violence” so I’m interested in looking up what makes this game more violent than the other versions.

Saw this and decided it would be fun to fill out. Did one for heroes and another for villains (except the final square). I'm against using the term "overrated" so I made those squares be characters I don't typically enjoy seeing, so their stories have to work extra hard to make me care about them.

Most Action RPGs (Xenoblade, Witcher, Kingdom Hearts). If you want to make an action game then just make an action game. What makes an RPGs fun is the ability to customize and strategize, having a level up mechanic is meaningless when increased stats never make any meaningful impact on the gameplay.

As someone who loves multiple in-depth lore franchises, I think the thing that fans and writers need to remember is that lore should be created in service to the characters, not the other way around. No one will care how much work you put into your lore if you don’t have characters to care about.

Showed the first two Bionicle films to a friend of mine who had never seen them before for 810NICLE DAY. It is crazy how many similarities there are between Bionicle 2 and Transformers One. I knew there was a reason I really liked it.

Worst in terms of theatre experience has to be Fantastic Beasts and Where Do They Come From. There was a kid seated behind me who clearly had never been to a theatre before and spent the whole time talking. Not a good movie but he made it far worse to sit through.

Wasn't big on Dark Ages but I was confident they could win me back and I respected the devs enough that if they had worked on a new series I would have been interested in buying the game. Microsoft just lost themselves a customer. Feel bad for all the talented folks losing their jobs. This sucks.

First of these studio closures to effect a studio I actually care about and man this one hurts. DOOM 2016 was really my gateway into learning to appreciate M-rated game franchises and Doom Eternal is still one of my all time favourite games.

I think a lot of people's problems with discourse are solved with the simple advice of stop using X. It's a terrible platform with algorithm designed to just show you the same things with people posting for engagement with sometimes monetary value and a degraded user base infested with bots. Leave.
