I don’t think a 21X increase in the cost to get a tanker out of the Persian Gulf with lower total exports than before the war is an achievement. And I think it’s odd that so much of the press has been covering it as if we should see this as positive, with “Better Than You Think”-style “explainers.”

My most basic take is you can't get to outcomes like this unless you're willing to use your leverage. Impeachment is the leverage. Do one every month on a new set of charges, he's done well over 24 months of impeachable stuff. Keep him on trial the rest of the term, park John Roberts in the Senate.

It has to be something that was hard-coded into the chat bot front end, so it displays the poem text instead of the text actually generated by the model. I think it is something that a developer got in response to a prompt like "Rewrite the End Poem from Minecraft from your own perspective."

The horizontal axis of the "feminism" chart ends at 60 because Google Trends groups the relative interest by "subregions", and the subregion with the highest relative search activity for "feminism" is Washington, D.C.

I think it's this: For each state, divide the number of searches for the term by the total number of searches in the state. Scale the results so the highest rate (WY) is assigned the value 100. For example, this means users in VT searched for "testosterone booster" about 30% as often as those in WY.

The Dem message to Trump should be that if he wants ANYTHING from Congress, he’ll have to stop all the flagrant abuses, and that their legislating will be aimed at protecting the public from rogue government. “Common ground” as an opening bid is a terrible posture. www.offmessage.net/p/hakeem-jef...

I had trouble getting anything to run until I found that the 5150 config specifies 360k drives whereas many of the disk images are 720k. A 720k toggle option on the system selector would be nice, and/or an error if the user mounts a 720k image into a 360k drive.

Ross Douthat sees 'civic collapse' in Connecticut. Do you?
The columnist's final New York Times column targets progressive governance in defense of Trump, but Connecticut’s civic and education data complicates his argument.

I note Iran poses two other intractable psychological dilemmas for him. 1) To beat Iran he would have to confront RU, which he cannot do. 2) To make a deal he would face Obama's superiority to him.

A tweet from Representative Thomas Massie that reads:

I just viewed 2 Top Secret FISA docs.
1) FISA Court opinion that raises serious concerns about FBI implementation of FISA 702.
2) letter by Senator Wyden describing a secret government interpretation of FISA law.
