#CoastalResidues explored… • coastal erosion • industrial remnants • resilience and adaptation • sound, texture and memory • microscopic and material worlds …through walking, listening, making & reflection. www.instagram.com/p/DbBrxZrGAO... #LegacyWaste #HistoricLandfill #RACC #ClimateResilience
A group of five people walk away from the camera along a coastal dirt path on a sunny day. They are dressed in casual outdoor clothing and carrying backpacks. To their left is a rocky beach area with a sea wall, and to their right is a grassy hillside leading up to a row of modern houses. Bold white text overlaying the image reads "COASTAL RESIDUES," with smaller descriptive text at the bottom explaining an exploration of coastal erosion and industrial remnants through walking and reflection.

A derelict Warden Point Radar Station structure lies at angle on the beach. The concrete is stained green in places from exposure in the intertidal zone. Black text on a bright blue background reads, "it took it about 20 years to work down the cliff but it's something you could sort of monitor because it was a big item." The Heritage Fund logo is in the top right corner.

Back on the foreshore today for a guided walk. It's always a pleasure to bump into mudlarks like Sean (@seanclarkmudlark on Insta) who can tell tales of London from the finds they discover. #LiquidHistory #mudlarking
A group of people on the Thames foreshore. They are gathered around looking intently at a small find held in the hand of one of the people. A mudlark keeps the group enthralled with a tale of trade tokens and the Great Fire of London.

The guided walk was undertaken with the permission of the PLA.

It’s the time of year when you might find a baby bird and want to help. Most often (and slightly counterintuitively) it’s best to do nothing. Here’s a useful guide.
An infographic with information on what to do if you find a baby bird.
Is it visibly injured? If yes, contact an animal welfare organisation. If no: does it have feathers? If yes, it’s a fledgling. If it’s in immediate danger, move it to a sheltered spot nearby. If no, do nothing.
If it doesn’t have feathers, it’s a nestling. If you can see a nest, put it back in the nest. If not, contact an animal welfare organisation.
