I'm getting "Dead Dove: Do Not Eat" vibes from this and can't explain why.

Which version did YOU grow up with? For me, the only Looney Tunes that weren't on ABC Saturday morning were for the longest time on public domain VHS tapes. Practically unwatchable, but I did anyway!

I'd always been pretty open with my wife about if there was a switch to easily change back and forth, I'd flick it. (This discussion somehow raised no red flags between us.🤷‍♀️) I THINK I'd still prefer that, but the next best thing would be to live half my life one way and then the other, so here I am

Short-term answer: I was all alone when I had a completely unprovoked identity crisis. Long-term answer: I'd always "known" without knowing, but in the '90s and 2000s, being that way was a cruel punchline, so it was easier to just not think about that... until I couldn't anymore.

It was WAY more egregious in the Rescue Rangers movie, where the differentiation between 2D and CGI was a plot point, but it was almost all CGI anyway.

I sure wish I'd mixed up the verbiage a bit to avoid using "realize" so many times, but it seems the chord was struck regardless.

That's a very good point about the cartoon network and other leaks that I feel like is understated in all this Companies keeping all of their production materials so private that not even the people who worked on it can access it is 100% an anti-worker measure

I genuinely wonder how much of the animation industry collapse is because of their resentment about that.

I think a lot about how animation saved the entertainment industry during the early pandemic days and now… it’s all being taken apart and picked clean by capitalist vultures.

I feel like we don’t talk about millennials in particular, hitting our 40s - in earlier generations many of us would be reaching the peak of our careers, but because of disaster after disaster, locust after locust eating our industries, many of us are on our 3rd or 4th fresh start.

There are so many people, so many, that love film and want to dedicate their whole lives to making films, in front of the camera, behind it, in editing suites and casting rooms and makeup trailers. And that these locusts can come in and just devour the industry, take it from us all, is devastating.

you may have noticed that animation has never been more in-demand & in the zeitgeist and yet, seemingly, never have media conglomerates been less willing to produce it. you may also notice these guys get multimillion dollar severance packages after they gut a studio. there is probably no connection

How will people know it's CGI if the camera isn't constantly moving through 3D space?! I'm pretty sure I recall someone sharing a clip from an episode where an unrendered WIP shot ended up on air. They were cranking them out that fast, apparently.

“how do we win back trump voters in 2026” we don’t. we create an environment where admitting to voting for trump is so socially embarrassing as to render them completely inert. you don’t “win back” trump voters. you demoralize them into staying home. you make it a dunce cap
