I see this rhythm also very prominently in working memory / imagery for musical sounds. Also, very strong in STG. I would call it alpha too!

I've reviewed for @elife.bsky.social and liked the experience. However, they still charge APCs, and have a confusing way of defining paper acceptance. The examples above are diamond open acces which is what we should strive for IMO.

I was not expecting that. Guess it makes sense people would try to game the most prestigious brands due to high reward / almost no risk. So basically, boycotting leaves us with very few places to publish. But alternatives exist. Open mind and apeer Communtiy come to mind.

Personally I think fMRI reflects mostly population firing which is best captured by high-gamma (>70Hz) and is not necessarily oscillatory. It does, however, inversely correlate with lower frequencies which are quite oscillatory (e.g., alpha) perhaps because oscillations are related to inhibition.
