Always ahead of his time in the data realm. I remember the day Bob introduced us to the Mosaic browser, and the Berkeley Museum of Paleontology website, one of the first of its kind, when I was in his lab in 1993. To my chagrin, while I didn’t appreciate its potential value, Bob immediately did.

I'm very happy to see this paper now out. We used early-life climbing ability to separate genetically identical short-lived and long-lived sub-cohorts of fruit flies, and to identify metabolites and metabolite modules that predict longevity. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/...

About 1% of the #dogagingproject dogs are enrolled in a clinical trial to test if rapamycin can increase healthy lifespan in dogs, the TRIAD trial. We are now recruiting dogs at sites throughout the US. They must be greater than 45 lbs and 7 years or older. dogagingproject.org/triad. 8/n

The coolest thing I’ve seen today is that a bunch of volunteer public health professionals and developers have restored the CDC website from before January 20th 2025. This differs from an archive in that they want to rebuild the links between pages and replicate the full website.
