The squirrel has a red coat with a dark nose and long whiskers. It has a pale eye ring around a dark eye and long ear tufts. Its tail is long and bushy and its underbelly is white.
It’s is standing on the end of a broken beach limb about twice as large as the animal itself. There is an out of focus beach trunk taking up the left side of the shot in the foreground and some leaves and vegetation are out of focus and give a slightly blurry effect to the shot. The right side of the shot is another beach trunk, in focus this time and illuminated by light with patches of green moss on it. The background is out of focus green leaves with dappled light throughout.
