Fucking Carney and Ford backed down on their ad criticizing the US because Trump threw a tantrum. Carney practically ran on a platform of "We're going to be tough on the US and insist that Trump backs down from these tariffs" and instead he's been kowtowing since his election.

Absolutely 100% this. Especially point 3. as a kid growing up with undiagnosed ADHD I found comics so much easier to read. I grew up on my brothers @2000ad.bsky.social comics and my other brothers JLA and Excalibur comics. and it was the best :)

So a week ago my Sunday attempt to run an Invisible Sun #ttrpg kinda fell apart. We'd been preparing for it for weeks, going over rules, but it seemed that some of the players were a little unsure of the system and didn't know what to do or just didn't have the spoons.

The PCs attempted a daring heist at a party held by a criminal underworld coterie and after some fumbling around the druid managed to identify a patsy whom he got drunk, scammed into a business venture selling flavored water, and got him to talk.

Ran my 5E Odyssey of the Dragonlords campaign tonight! The PCs battled maenads and their horrific half-goat offspring to rescue a bunch of villagers. We ended with the PCs bursting in on the corrupted dryad in charge of the whole thing, and next week we can see if they can stop her!

TTRPG hot take: Player agency should refer more to 'agency in how problems are dealt with' than 'whether or not to deal with a problem'. By agreeing to play a game, you in essence agree to a social contract to take part in a shared story with the GM setting the scene.

My latest fantasy read, just started today! I've read the first couple and...well...let me say this. I love Jim Butcher's books, really adore them. So far, I have been less-than blown away by Jim's. They're not at all bad, but it feels like he's trying too hard to write the next Dresden Files.

We had our intro session of Roll Player Adventures this evening! Went pretty well. We got our characters ready, went over the rules, and took a quick look at the game and components. Looks pretty straightforward but the plot looks very in-depth, especially with the expansion. Can't wait!

Starting up a game of Roll Player Adventures with my Thursday board gaming group! Last week we made characters using Roll Player, just for fun. I wound up with a Lawful Good dwarf druid. I also won the game of Roll Player by about 2 points, very close game, we all wound up within like 5 points.

God what a lousy couple of months. Health took a turn for the worse, I was getting stomach pains, had to have a bunch of tests done including a colonoscopy which wasn't fun. Problem still hasn't gone away, still trying to settle things. I See my cpap provider on Tuesday to see if that's the problem

Ran Call of Cthulhu yesterday, continuing with the Crimson Letters. The PCs were escorted to the morgue by gangsters Oaks and O'Shaunassy and found that the body they were going to investigate animated as a zombie, the sight of which caused one of the PCs to go temporarily insane and run screaming.
