Just saw a delivery guy on a bike jump a red light and try to get cars to stop and pedestrians to get out of the way at a junction by dinging his bell and shouting "deliveroo! deliveroo!" as though he was an ambulance with a siren. Didn't seem to have the effect he thought it would.

I took the bait from PM and ended up finding out the cause of the NATS outage as best I could, and all I can say is... concurrency is hard. Now dusting off the old CV for the "rewriting NATS in Rust" project I'm hoping for in about one performatively outraged parliamentary inquiry's time.

Speaking with decades of grim experience (thankfully behind me), I'm actually kinda inclined to vaguely believe that claim (allowing for a few embellishments). Depending on how you define actually "leafleting an elector" this is one of the most annoyingly "leafletable" constituencies in the country.

I used to love this bit of King's X when I first moved to London and the old entrance was open. Felt like a secret portal into/out of the fancy new station a few hundred metres away (and it was also super convenient for my flat at the time, I'm not *just* a tube nerd).

I went to Ljubliana last weekend for a break with some mates, and decided to take the train using an interrail ticket, rather than fly. It obviously took much longer (mostly because I stayed a bunch of places along the way), but it was also just much more... fun? 💯 will do again!

Landed in Berlin earlier, staying in Friedrichshain for a few days, and have encountered loads of these. Curious as to what on earth it's about, I looked it up, and, well, just check out the website. berlin-werbefrei.de I think I'm in love.

He's actually interested in governing but has some experience of party management. Nobody's taking him seriously as a possible candidate so nobody's worried about trying to destroy him. I'm not saying it's likely, I do think he's underpriced.
