i was in elementary school when i first met other queer kids. we created a sort of club together where we talked about it. i was bisexual at the time, and there was a bisexual girl, a lesbian, and a gay boy. you do not have to leave your red state to find community, or even move to a city

The “restorative justice” convos around Geller l miss the point. Maybe he is/was on that path. But he is owed nothing from us and I have more empathy for victims who found comfort in his work (like myself, I own his fucking book) and now feel betrayed at having emotionally invested in an abuser.
