It makes absolute sense. Americans are numb to vengeful death. School shootings, terrorist attacks, executions - they happen but are carefully edited so you don't see the bloody classrooms, or the gunfire spraying in a synagogue or the body strapped on gurney taking their last breath. Its ignored.

Exactly. And quit pretending that the justice system from top to bottom isn't loaded with individuals who are ready to make excuses for a rapist.

They're edible and that's it. Its missing 1/2 tsp of salt - so even a bit is important. The blueberries are spectacular so that makes up for the lack of flavour in the batter. The recipe didn't call for vanilla - I add it to almost everything I bake - and didn't this time, so even more blandness.
