Online advertising is so completely broken. Bought a pair of shoes, from an Irish site. I am now followed by ads everywhere for those *identical* shoes, some from the same store. Shoes I already own, new. Whoever pays for such ads is robbed. I'm put off the seller. Someone gets richer.

I try to buy from Irish retailers online when I can. Recent big uptick in AI 'assistants' on their websites is really testing me. Two yesterday evening popping up to offer 'help'. I have taken to emailing them telling them what I was going to buy and why I left the site and did not.

It is such a stupid thing for them to focus on, when there are so many real issues to deal with. If they wanted to change anything about citizenship, they might consider a small citizen tax/fee that applies to all non-resident citizens, that goes into a ringfenced fund for education or the arts.

Only 6% of voters cited immigration as their primary concern at the last general election. It was a non-issue until the government made it an issue. The top issues were housing, cost of living, and health. 3 areas where the government are making no progress. They need a scapegoat #spéirgorm

It's all a fraud. Nobody goes to greyhound racing, it's all run for televised live betting. The €19m+ annual subsidy goes indirectly to a commercial company, SIS, who provide bookies shops around the world with "regular betting opportunities" to "keep (punters) in your shop for longer".

I can't see a movie in this. Katie is an incredible boxer and sportswoman but doesn't seem to me to be a terribly interesting person outside of that, with a back story full of evangelical religion. Training, fighting, praying. I'm not seeing it.
