it makes it much easier for me to find areas that need development. I’m giving it a clear task with specific instructions “review this curriculum and count which items don’t have tags” so it’s just data review, not generation.

I really like it for reviewing my eportfolio. Our portfolio is not user friendly AT ALL, so I saved all of my evidence as a PDF, uploaded it to copilot, and asked it to review the coverage of the curriculum so far and highlight weak spots. Relies on my having tagged appropriately to begin with, but

Ok. Further to this, it was “officially” communicated to our team recently that one of our inpatients had cellulitis and that they (the child) was convinced they had been bitten by a spider and thus now had Spidey powers, and that as a team we were rolling with this. With GUSTO.

I’m a lowly general paediatrician, but during my stint in PICU it became a running joke that rather than increasing the dexmed for an upset child I’d suggest “Shall we have some cuddles or get the play team?”

Yeah. People pushing in front of me to get on the train when I was very obviously heavily pregnant and on crutches was a bit of a low in my faith in humanity.

A combo of the eldest sprog starting school and me rotating back to a hospital I haven’t worked in for a while, means my previously bombproof paediatrician immune system has FAILED ME. No, I’m not being dramatic.

25 years ago my life changed. As a teenager I watched the aftermath of the attacks, the people helping in the streets, the healthcare professionals rushing to save who they could, and I thought “I want to be able to help people like that”. And so, medicine. Today we remember.

Wake up, babe. The Prime Minister just dropped “hydronym”.
The name Lake Ontario comes from the Wendat word Ontari’io, which, appropriately, means “the lake is beautiful, the lake is big”.

The name is more than 400 years old, predating both the Confederation of Canada and the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America.

We know that America is changing. Their trading relationships, their foreign policies, their national monuments, their hydronyms.

Canadians also know that naming reality means calling it Lake Ontario – then, now and always.

Without being able to read the article and knowing the full circumstances, I just want to point out that it’s not that strange for a person contracted to work in one part of the hospital not to know where another part, unrelated to their job, is.

So in lieu of fancy eclipse photos, I’m going to have to share this from the weekend (Three photographs. The first shows a dark night sky with lots of visible stars and satellites. Second and third show dark sky with stars and the Milky Way )

That sky had been cloudless ALL SODDING DAY.
A photo of the sky this evening, with a clear blue expanse at the top of the sky and then clouds obscuring the sun during the eclipse.

In the foreground is various household and garden paraphernalia - a gazebo, a washing line? A child’s pogo stick…

Surely there is some mistake! There's no way this tax applies to me, a retired diplomat who lives in Paris who spent millions of dollars renovating the 12 million dollar apartment I never intended to live in. There must be some mistake

Coming from the States I've always struggled to understand UK politics. Apparently Farage has resigned from office in order to be elected to that office - but nobody will run against him except a talking trash can. And the BBC is actually interviewing the trash can.
