All in all, it brings the bite back to the franchise. The mutants were barely present despite marketing leaning into them, which made it feel LESS like the perceived monster movie it was assumed to be. It captured the spirit of the ‘Park’ films while still being modern. 8/10

Cons: ScarJo was stiff...I've never been her biggest fan, but this was especially poor compared to others in the cast. There were retcons for convenience sake. Just saying "dinosaurs are in our world kinda but mostly dead or isolated” was lazy writing even though it served the plot.

Saw Jurassic World Rebirth, and had a damn good time in spite of some nits that needed picking. Probably around #3 in my franchise rankings. Pros: Moved at breakneck spped, crazy visuals/CGI was great, shooting on film gave it a very naturalistic vibe, and I liked the characters quite a bit. (1/2)
