Saw Jurassic World Rebirth, and had a damn good time in spite of some nits that needed picking. Probably around #3 in my franchise rankings. Pros: Moved at breakneck spped, crazy visuals/CGI was great, shooting on film gave it a very naturalistic vibe, and I liked the characters quite a bit. (1/2)

Jaws is 50 years old today. In the 50 years since, I will argue that there has never been a scene as truly frightening as this. The desperation and panic of the victim, the obscured view of the shark, and the unseen demise all tie in to this being a masterclass in terror. HBD to the GOAT.
