I can't stand what is going on. Certainly social media is a factor but so much of this hatred is being enabled/promoted by the mainstream media.

Shameful! On a slightly different note, I do think there needs to be more debate around what care workers are paid versus what the private providers are charging. And this applies to private providers of SEND provision too.

It's very sad that town twinning has been ruined by Brexit. I can think of so many positives examples of the scheme I came across when I was younger. Also your post highlights sport at its best.

That's wonderful! I have a very soft spot for Sheffield as my siblings were born there and my daughter now lives in the city. It's a fabulously welcoming place (I base this partly on how safe I felt walking around with my son who has a learning disability). Delighted they had such a warm welcome.

Feeling the sadness tonight. I was approached earlier today by a local charity to support a family whose child may have the same condition as our son. I was very happy to help, but so wish I was in a position to say it will be okay, it will get easier - that's not our experience. #RareIllness

It takes a lot to challenge the 'system' when you carry the trauma of it. It made my heart sing that your thoughts were with those without advocates. (Not a surprise to me at all though, given your values). I am pleased that they responded and hopefully this will improve things for others.
