One of the Cornell students accused of gang rape, Scott Kretzschmar, denies it and says through his attorney that they are going to “confront” the survivor through the court system. I can already tell you that means victim-blaming, DARVO, and smears. She is going to need a lot more of our support.

These end-of-days AI articles read like Zizian rantings, probably because Silicon Valley is a cult. I'm not going to live my life in fear of the word guessing machine getting better at guessing words. We should regulate them because of the dangers of unfettered capitalism, not their publicity stunts

Track AIPAC may use a stricter definition for contributions (counting PAC donations that themselves have received money from AIPAC, etc.), but AIPAC doesn't like Ossof or Warnock. That doesn't mean their definition is bad; we want zero foreign interference. It's just not wholely accurate

I've never seen such an effort to censor a document as I have the Amnesty International report on gender critical groups because of JK Rowling. They removed the report from the Wayback Machine and now I got a DMCA strike on my Google Drive for having it. It was deleted and removed from my account.
A screenshot of an email viewed in dark mode with the subject line "Google DMCA Violation." The email from Google informs the recipient that they have received a notification under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) that some of their materials allegedly infringe on copyrights. It explains the removal process, mentions that notice details will be posted on Lumen, warns against repeated violations, and lists one affected Google Drive URL at the bottomA nearly identical mobile browser screenshot of the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. It shows a search for the same Amnesty International UK resources URL, resulting in the same message: "This URL has been excluded from the Wayback Machine."A mobile browser screenshot of the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. On a smaller scale for academic journals, this is why I always prefer citation formats that let me cite throughout the sentence instead of just one string of citations at the end of a sentence. Like which of these 5 papers apply to which of the many claims you made here?

I'm glad AI helped you identify what was wrong, that sounds like a frustrating experience! On the test, it's not currently gatekept, I know someone who's had it! But, high p-tau doesn't mean you have Alzheimer's; it was correlated with developing it later in some people, so some docs are cautious.

So, there are reasons why they roll things out more cautiously. Also, AI won't be replacing anyone, let alone doctors. See how that's going for the companies that fired their workforce in favor of it: www.forbes.com/sites/joetos... You're right, some doctors are not great. But most do their best!

I know someone who has taken this test because her dad has Alzheimer's; it said her p-tau levels are high. But, like in the article, that changes nothing about her treatment right now. She was already being monitored because of her dad. Now she's just more worried and there's no action steps.

When utilized in literature review, LLMs consistently 1. fail to mention female authors in female-led literatures, 2. insist that men are more influential or more heavily cited when this is contradicted by objective citation counts, and 3. attribute women’s work to hallucinated male scholars.

This is a facebook post from Ríhanna Novalee ChasingStars, ie Ríhanna Kelver. It reads:

Hello! Welcome those who have found my Facebook! My name is Rihanna Kelver and yes, I am currently facing two felony charges after defending myself from a violent hate crime.

If you are a member of the press, please feel free to message me through here or at rihanna_kelver@outlook.com.

If you are someone looking to support me and my legal fund. You can find my Venmo at @Rihanna_Kelver or https://venmo.com/u/Rihanna_Kelver

The reason I have to use my Venmo is because we’ve been kicked off three crowd funding sites now due to ToS violations. Apparently surviving a hate crime and being charged for surviving it constitutes “fundraising for the defense of a violent crime.”

Anyways, thank you all so much for your support and keep up the good fight 💖🏳️‍⚧️
