i will never understand why so much music discourse in so many communities consists of people just posting lists of how they rank songs or albums, or arguing with others about how they should be ranked. now often formalized online as "tier charts" and "iceberg tiers".

ai killing lots of people is indeed a valid concern, but imo it’s less to do with ai’s abilities and more to do with its inabilities. that is, ai wont kill as a hyper-intelligent murder machine but rather as an incompetent “decision assistant” in fields like health or military target assessment

This is pretty fucking wild. I had assumed in a worst case scenario he would target blue zip codes and toss ballots based on technicalities but this is even worse than I imagined.

Not only is this system astonishingly untested, USPS has simultaneously implemented an
impracticable zero percent failure rate.
13 When ballots are submitted to USPS in large-volume
batches, if any one ballot in the batch cannot be verified against the Portal, all ballots in that
