Also, I feel like these DeviantArt Logokid AUs don't focus on public media or when they do, it's bought out by a private company, essentially privatizing it. There's one example where Britain's Channel 4 is owned by an electronics company that also owns Corus for some reason.

I admit I have sort of a soft spot for Cardcaptor Sakura's Nelvana dub because it's what I watched on Teletoon when I was a kid, though I do remember owning a Pioneer DVD of the uncut version that had the episode where a bazaar was being held.

I think the constant lolcowing of Patricia Taxxon, as well as her persecution complex about her drama, make me feel worried about her but also at the same time mad at her. And I'm not making it better by posting about. I'm part of the problem, you're part of the problem. (cont.)

I think what pushed me to "breaking up" with Patricia was how she started talking about lolicon and ranting about Hbomberguy on Bluesky. Now, I have my own issues with Hbomberguy but it's different than Patricia's issues. (cont.)

I started getting worried about Patricia when she went onto Bluesky and started ranting about the drama, not to mention getting really defensive about The Rodfellows Movie, which was done by Daniel Lyons, someone who is infamous for being a creep. (cont.)

What didn't help matters is that transphobic lolcow sites like Kiwi Farms would document Patricia's wrongdoings. Not to mention people who only care about drama and lulz more than seeking justice for the victims. (cont.)

Over the years, these allegations would snowball into outright drama and lolcowing. All of that made Patricia understandably upset. The drama got so bad that she would eventually delete her Tumblr after it got too much. (cont.)

Initially, I started to have complicated feelings about Patricia. I tried to quit listening to her music or watch her videos, but I kept relapsing, thinking that she would at least improve on her behaviour. I thought this would all sweep over. I was stupid. (cont.)

I liked her opinions on copyright abolition and her views on art & capitalism. There were some opinions I had disagreed with, sure, but I never hated her outright for it. Years later, allegations came out about her being a not good person. About how she abused people. (cont.)

I'm not gonna beat around the bush, Patricia Taxxon was that person for me. I started following her back in 2018, the time where I was in the process of deradicalizing myself from Gamergate. This was before her transition, so I knew her (or thought I did) way before the allegations & drama (cont.)

I kind of wonder what Teletoon would have been like if Astral hadn't been bought by Bell Media in 2013. I mean, we wouldn't have Heated Rivalry, but hey at least we had a somewhat healthier television industry. Or maybe I'm too naive.

Y'know, Toonbox (webchnl) had got me thinking about Knowledge Network-era BBC Kids and how it was a sort of Teletoon Retro for 2000s Teletoon (as well as a lil bit of YTV) programming mixed in with CBBC shows. And it was owned by a provincially-owned public broadcaster, which is nice.

For context, I was watching Toonbox on webchnl. It's a great successor to Teletoon circa 2007 to 2015. Personally, I would have preferred them to also air Teletoon shows from the early mid-2000s but fwiw it's a pretty great channel.
