Tragic that apparently nobody watched "Scavengers Reign". Contender for best SF show of the century so far. It'll be canonical in 20 years. The fact that it was an obscure flop will be one of those weird factoids like with Blade Runner or The Thing.

No idea about this movie on particular, but it frustrates me how often media tries to "monster-ify" spiders. Making them roar, giving them teeth, pupils, vertebrate-predator movement and behavior... all just make a spider *less* scary. Closer to human.

Honestly I think we should stop putting genre in the hands of indie dramady filmmakers. I'm sure there's people who can do both, but in the whole if your first impulse is "movie about growing up in the suburbs" or "feeling lost in your 20s" you might not have the right brain for SF or Horror.
