KALLAS: Russia doesn't want to end this war. Regarding Ukraine's decision about their future, Russia shouldn't have a say about any other country's future but their own. Looking at state of economy or social affairs in Russia, I'd recommend them dealing with their own problems.

People say Russia "invaded Crimea" as though it is separate from Ukraine. Russia invaded UKRAINE when it militarily occupied Crimea and then part of eastern Ukraine in 2014. Russia's military aggression was limited to these regions because Ukrainians halted the larger plan. 1/9

We are heartbroken but also very angry. Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital.
