I brought up voice recognition as an example of something that would be trivial to run locally but that tech companies don't want you to, to make the case that even if LLMs could run locally, big tech wouldn't want you to. It sounds like you're responding to an argument that I didn't make.

I'm not sure what your point is, I literally ran voice recognition software back then on a PC with a floppy drive, so a modern phone or laptop could handle it.
