Between Sept. 21–26, compost.cc was part of the Unplugged? #art & #technology residency organized by #Marginal in #Bucharest. We presented our project to a new people, connected with the local community, & added new nodes to the #network and gave away others, which will find a new location!
Poster of the Unplugged? residency hung from a fence at the entrance of the venue: The Legacy, Bucharest, Romania.Zach and I at the studio of Bucharest's Radio Guerrilla. I’m really obsessed with #Rilke’s sentence “You must change your life” these days. Even more, though, with the way in which Pedro Madrigal translated that sentence for the Spanish version of Sloterdijk’s essay: “Has de cambiar tu vida”—Spanish can beautifully painful

Now in English. I’ve always opposed the fixation with the Opsroom bcs (among other reasons) it helps the Western discourse & caricature that nothing real happens outside the West. The story about the Pisco Sour is, if anything, a misleading story. There was no space for cocktails in that room

Screenshot of the compost.cc webpage. The picture shows the dashboard of the program at the center, and an archival image as the background (the cover of the fourth issue of Chile’s journal INTEC from 1973). The dashboard gives information about how many nodes (servers) are at that point connected to the network and, in this picture, shows specific information of one of them (on the website, the complete list of connected servers can be seen)

The "Bauarbeiter" (construction worker) statue is located on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße in Berlin. The worker gestures as if he were holding the spherical part of the Television Tower. Although the tower is about 300 meters away, the perspective of this photo gives the impression that he is actually holding it
