I am indeed a MacLean, descended from the MacLeans of Skye. Lucky enough to be very connected to hebridean roots though I did not grow up there.

If you're a gaming exec who thinks laying off staff (absent any feeling of responsibility) is a great way to improve projections for an already-profitable company, and communicates it to your remaining staff with words like "leaner", "efficient", and "rightsizing", may I suggest a fuck right off? 😣

I return to this poem often, and have posted it around my neighborhood when the times call for it. Today is as good as any day to return to it.

Allowable any Nikki Giovanni

I killed a spider
Not a murderous brown recluse
Nor even a black widow
And if the truth were told this
Was only a small
Sort of papery spider
Who should have run
When I picked up the book
But she didn't
And she scared me
And I smashed her

I don't think
I'm allowed

To kill something

Because I am

Frightened

These days the existence of junior narrative jobs in video games are few and far between. So how do you get in? Are you just supposed to appear out of nowhere as as a fully formed narrative designer like Athena sprang from the head of Zeus? Fear not! There are things you can do.
