Now for some nuance. You don't need to run a multi-year campaign in your adult life to feel like you did something of worth or because the AP did it. You can run multiple smaller one shots and mini campaigns and get as much if not more fun at your table. Think of all the collective stories!

There is no place for LLMs or related generative tech in TTRPGs. Designing games is a practice rooted firmly in creativity and cannot be called a game if part of the process is offloaded to a word salad generator. The only reason it is used is because some people are more interested in money.

There are a few comments in this post that are devaluing this message. If you feel uncomfortable about politics (e.g fascism) in a ttrpg in a good/bad framing, then you must question WHY it makes you feel good/bad. The question is inherent in the art. It doesn't care about your feelings per se.

'How do i do x when i see people doing x better than me?' Is a question that I understand but perhaps my experience is different. I think x (art, gming, any creative process) needs to fundamentally excite you. If you aren't feeling that way when you see it, you need to find the love of it.

Bringing back the hot take! Combat should be faster, there should be consequences in battles (if you attack an enemy you leave yourself open etc), and players should hit more often. Also if a character is trained, expert, or master in something they should auto succeed often. #ttrpg

I don't know any other country where people are so exceedingly brainwashed into calling it 'the best'.

It its absolutely WILD to me that in 2 short days, i've interacted with a few people who have shown a dogged persistance in ignoring that people play multiple, varied ttrpgs now. I guess I'm in the wrong for thinking things we're moving away from the 8000 ton dragon in the room.
