Tierra Walker died after she couldn’t get an abortion. Her family is suing Ken Paxton
The case, filed Tuesday, argues that Texas’ near-total abortion ban violates the state and U.S. Constitutions, which “prohibit state actors from killing their citizens.”

CALL TO ACTION | Governments must act now to manage AI for the public good Elders and leading Artificial Intelligence experts urge governments to tackle escalating AI risks to ensure technology serves humanity, rather than endangering it. Read in full: theelders.org/news/governm...
Governments must act now to manage AI for the public goodWe reject claims that governments cannot or should not regulate AI: because technology moves too quickly, because companies will regulate themselves, because geopolitical competition matters more than public safety. These narratives are all misleading.

As a Medical Microbiologist (now retired) trained and experienced in working with Biological Safety Level 3 (BSL 3) pathogens, such as Hanta virus, I would strongly disagree with the WHO in their recommendation that a medical mask is sufficient protection! Need N95 as minimum, N99 or PAPR better.

Trump and the Republicans are RAISING TAXES on every single American. By doubling inflation because of their idiotic war on Iran, they're taxing ALL of us. The average American household will pay another $3,298 per year -- and climbing. $275 every month. Because of the GOP.

The richest Americans saw their net worth soar 120% from 2017 to 2025. The top 1% now control $55.8 trillion in assets — more than the G.D.P. of the United States and China combined. Meanwhile, millions of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. Still wondering if inequality is out of control?

Amazon, which saved $4B in taxes under Trump's Big Ugly Bill, has cut 30,000 jobs since last October. Verizon, which saved $2B, plans to cut 15,000 jobs this year. Meta, which saved $3B, plans to lay off 20% or more of its workforce. Trickle-down economics is a cruel joke.
