University is starting up soon and so my good half a month of mapping might have to come to an end, but before that, here's a Korea I drew recently

Another little map I started in a cafe as well as a duck I met ☕ #cartography #mapmaking

Another map done! As you might be able to tell I'm a sucker for drawing mountains and trees. I bought some calligraphy pens recently as well so hopefully soon I'll be able to make use of those on my maps for labels and other stuff. Just need to learn to use them first ✨ #cartography #mapmaking

A sketchpad held out with greenery in the background. On the pad there's a black and white of a mountainous region with lots of trees and hills. The area is costal and there are large jagged cliffs. Up at the top of the map there are less mountains, more forests, and a few rivers that flow into the sea.

Aw, thank you! I'm glad to hear that my maps have helped you out. I should really make and share more of my maps on social media then. For some reason sharing feels oddly difficult at times

Been struggling to find the motivation to work on maps lately, but yesterday I found myself messing around with pen and paper in a café and that got me back to working on a map today! Quite happy with what I made 😊 #cartography #mapmaking

A black and white map of a fantasy map drawn on paper. The coastlines are rough and jagged, and mountains dominate the bottom left portion of the map. The heights are hugged by forests.

Recently I've been reading and enjoying James Islington's Hierarchy series and so I decided to make my own version of the map as well! Hoping to finish The Strength of the Few today. Only a hundred pages or so left to go 😄

Some of the very overt foreshadowing has got me very excited to keep on reading. I had to get out a highlighter and pencil after finishing the first chapter just to highlights some of those sentences and to write down my thoughts. I don't typically annotate, so that's new for me as well

Started reading James S.A. Corey's The Mercy of Gods yesterday and it's been a hoot! Really loving it so far, especially the build-up of tension leading up to Part 2 of the book ✨ I'll have to get around to reading The Expanse at some point as well.

A somewhat dated meaning of the word ejaculate is something that is said quickly and abruptly, so I can sort of vaguely see why the AI might suggest that, but the only place where I've encountered that meaning of the word has been in classic works of literature

A drawing of an eclectus crab. It has a cube shaped pink body, with a flat cap and two eyes sticking up from the middle. The left (right side, from the crab's perspective) legs and claw are bright yellow, and the right (left side, from the crab's perspective) are dark purple. Its yellow crushing claw is much larger than its purple claw.

Finally at the shading stage! The linework is done, for now (I'll probably add a bunch of labels later once I've thought of names) so now on to adding some shade to bring some life into it before moving on to the colour stage. Feeling pretty good about this map so far! #wip #fantasymap #humanmade
