Brutal lack of context from @robertbenzie.bsky.social on CBC Frontburner recently saying "maybe in Canada we don't have the tradition of rail travel you have in Europe or even in China." Come on. These were rail routes in 1955. Politicians (especially Mulroney and Chretien) destroyed it.

Syndication for Canadaland is also no longer being done by CFUV 101.9 FM in Victoria. The station manager there told me he couldn't stand doing it anymore. Someone else in community radio told me it's now handled by 101.5 CJUM out of the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg.

According to an on-air announcement from CIUT 89.5 FM (community radio out of the University of Toronto), @canadaland.com is no longer being aired on the station. A local news show has taken its place at 9 am on Tuesdays, which will soon be run by journos with the @westendphoenix.bsky.social.
