I really need to get more active on here. Hi. I'm David. I make comics. What do you do? This is some art from my next thing, HER GHOSTS

It is so good. Ever-escalating madness with the crazy assassins and gangster code and so much punching

Claire is the best collaborator I've had. Can't imagine working with another editor! And thanks for the cover compliment, @alexdecampi.bsky.social !

Hi new followers, I've been quiet on socials for the last while, but I'm slowly reemerging. I make crime comics and other things, so nice to see you all again

It really is a nasty ending, isn't it? Wait until you see what happens in the prequel!

Sadly, the Lib Dems are basically centrist orthodox, with a generally conservative approach to politics and society.

Just under a week to go to get one of the limited edition hardbacks of my spy thriller graphic novel. Two spies watch each other, but neither knows why. Finding the answer will start a fire. Who's going to burn? Her Hardboiled Heart is fully funded, with rewards starting from £12

AI's one value is as aggregator of information sources, giving you a starting point for further reading and research. It's not the actual research, and that's what worries me so much. I hear people now saying, I looked it up on AI SERVICE. It's a 2020s version of "but I googled it"

Why do they worry about asking others questions? That's a failing. Are they uncomfortable not knowing something? Do they not want their assumptions challenged?

It's been a week, and I deserved a treat, so I bought this. Button Man is one of the best standalone comics of the 90s (and all time). If you like my stuff, you'll love it

When I first read DECADES I knew we were looking at a special creator. WILD NATURE was a leap up, but HHH is the moment of *arrival*. It feels like the last book a person puts out before a publisher takes notice and straps a rocket on their back.

This project is live now on Kickstarter. People who like good comics should back it. And I’m not only saying this because @dftaylor.bsky.social is a pretty decent guy. I’m also saying it so that he can return my beloved Yorkshire terrier that he’s been holding hostage for weeks.

And the biggest error, imo, is it didn't really engage with the themes of male isolation and misogyny beyond the surface. The victim (and family) is ultimately invisible, and blamed as a bully. It becomes too tidy plot-wise, yet too messy thematically.

David Taylor | cartoonist @dftaylor.bsky.social · 23/03/2025

So, Adolescence... It's a good show with amazing performances. Episodes 1 and 3 are astounding, unfolding like horror films as the truth hits But throughout it was trying to land too many themes and plot points without earning them. I don't think the one-shot format should have been used in 2 + 4

Thoroughly enjoying @dftaylor.bsky.social's blood-soaked neo-noir thriller Wild Nature. David constantly sets a high bar with his indie crime comics. Think Running Man meets Death Game 1999 in an post-pandemic Miami with compellingly broken, messy characters. dftaylor.gumroad.com

So glad Bruno enjoyed this. DECADES is interesting to me. It was my first book and I didn't have a clue how to write it, so I just did what interested me as I went. Haha. It's complex and messy and emotional, and I really do love that ending. I doubt I'll write anything so bleak again!
