Kinda hate that this movie would have been one of many in a similar vein in the late 90s/early 00s but today is a rarity (cops themselves probably have something to do with that), The Rip is nothing groundbreaking but it ticks the boxes for a hell of a tense, entertaining action thriller sold on the charisma of its leads with a solid story, tense action scenes and a solid supporting cast. Bonus points for having tridimensional Latino characters. Also, great to see Scott Adkins in this, although he didn't get to showcase his action man skills at all.
