Firefox 157 drops today, bringing back Compact Mode, this time with its own dedicated setting. During early testing many of you shared that you didn’t want to lose density in the new design. That feedback directly impacted this release.

If you've used Multi-Account Containers for years, good news: containers are now being built right into Firefox so you can organize your browsing by context. This is a preview release, so not every add-on feature has made the jump yet. Keep the extension running alongside it if you need it.

Fun fact: private browsing mode on Firefox now has a flame button that instantly clears your session. Your cookies? Gone. Your history? Gone. That thing you said in 2017? Unfortunately, still around.
