Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Are they... really focusing on important things now? 300
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Damn! (to be fair, after learning about the twist, it frankly started reminding me of Sucker Punch... and maybe I should not be surprised it's getting similar reactions) 010
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 06/10/2026That game set in The Expanse universe from Owlcat looks like it has a similar vibe as well... although with less aliens. 000
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Yeah, based on this clip, he's not giving him a pass, he's openly mocking that notion of the "circle jerk" to his face. 130
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I think I'm the only person on this planet who would defend Age of Extinction, but you didn't miss anything on The Last Knight. Except maybe Steve Jablonsky's best score to date and a good peek at what a Michael Bay medieval fantasy epic could look like. 000
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I'm just going to say this tho: for better or worse, MoS and BvS got way more crap for way less weird choices. 010
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 05/10/2026That's pretty much me with the ending of Raiders of the Lost Ark and Last Crusade (oddly, I was fine with Temple of Doom) 010
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 02/10/2026When the remake for the Heroes of Might & Magic 3 videogame was announced, the comments under the trailee were filled with people accusing it of looking AI because "AI produces similar looking creatures". For a game populated with archetypal fantasy characters. 010
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 01/10/2026And CREED does what Rocky 5 was trying to do waaaaaaay better 110
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Same. I think it might suggest a possible GTA 6 physical edition for Xbox? 020
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 30/09/2026That doesn't speak too highly of the Hollywood studio standards... 01372
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 30/09/2026In settings, search, the search engine list doesn't allow you to turn of Perplexity from the list? If not, it might indeed be a bug (unless you mean delete it from the list altogether, in that case it seems there's no way to do it... but disabling it will stop it from appearing on the search bar) 120
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 30/09/2026You can re-enable only the translations in the list below it. Turn on the blocker, and then switch translations to "available" and that's it. 011
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Yes, there's a setting to block all AI features in a single toggle 120
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 30/09/2026That's odd. Maybe it's a bug? Just checked and none of my settings were changed. 050
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Man, that subplot feels so unnecessary so far... and a bit forced. Hopefully there's something to it. 010
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 28/09/2026I mean, their profits would take a massive dip AND they would have to pay the debt they warranted (unless I'm misunderstanding what they were doing). Even if their gaming and professional business would resume as usual, I don't see how they could come out of this unscathed. 230
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 28/09/2026What do you expect will happen to Nvidia (and, to an extent, AMD?) once the bubble pops? 210
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Amen to that, good sir (I still would like to know who in their right mind thought it was a good idea to give Jones' character easy access to bomb makers in Turkey... and that wardrobe choice in the third act). 110
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 24/09/2026The opening notes reminded me of Shore's main titles for The Silence of the Lambs 010
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 24/09/2026The parents backstory might not amount to much, but ends up contributing to (and feeding from) Peter's fears and insecurities. And yes, I do like the goblin's redesign. 010
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 24/09/2026One of many: The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It's a heartfelt (and tragic) love story about two people who love each other so much, driven apart by guilt and fear, seasoned with amazing (heh) action sequences, a kickass score and an eerily effective villain who feels like an indictment on fanboyism. 130
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Yeah. Fortunately, I don't think I've heard stories about Fincher being a dick to anyone on set 010
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 22/09/2026I get the same feeling, particularly with stories about Fincher sometimes redoing takes because an extra didn't move how he wanted. 110
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Man, that's a bummer of a story... Could have been something special 010
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 22/09/2026I wish they had released the movie in theaters with its true ending tho 000
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 22/09/2026In terms of said formula, I think this one is that's least affected by it, but yeah, I do see how there could have been a more interesting version without it. 110
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 22/09/2026I heard the speculation was Sledgehammer... Raven would be awesome tho 000
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 22/09/2026I just remembered there used to be a draft of that movie online, seemingly prior to Will Smith getting involved and written by Hilary Seitz, I think it was. Read the first pages and was similar, but Spooner felt more Deckard/Valiant on that one 200
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Ah, fair enough. I do think the robot and vehicle designs are interesting enough, but I see what you mean. 000
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 22/09/2026I don't think Asimov lends itself to that anesthetic tho. I admit I'm not the most knowledgeable Asimov reader, but his work tended to be more "optimistic/idealistic". I do enjoy this one quite a bit. 100
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Interestingly (and unpopular, I know), now that Tony Scott isn't with us anymore (RIP), I think Fincher would be the only one who could make me sit down and willingly watch a Tarantino thing. 010
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Which is why a lot of idiots will come out and say "Snyder dumbed it down" or "didn't understand the original" if he makes a high-octane, big action film. Guy can't win with some people. 111

Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Man, I wonder how they survived watching Gladiator then 130
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 17/09/2026And if the idea is to take the idea of artistic reinvention and independence as a framework and work separately from there, I guess it could work? But just drop the direct connection, man. 000
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 17/09/2026To his credit, at least he's well aware that project would definitely not fly in the current time. However, I honestly don't get what he saw in that book. I tried reading it and it was baaaad. Gave up a couple of chapters in. 110

Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 16/09/2026To give Flanagan some credit (and based on the trailer for Carrie), he does seem fond to go in different directions so there might be room for surprises there. But yeah, a well made adaptation of The Langoliers would be amazing. 110
Diego Salazar @dfsp1.bsky.social · 16/09/2026I want to imagine he truly believed he was set out to lose more by siding with Macklemore (losing access to US arenas sounds scary) than not. Guess he didn't expect everyone, including his touring band would drop him in a second for that. 0160
