Among the ICE abductions reported yesterday was a ~7:20 a.m. incident in Chicago's West Englewood neighborhood. Per video shared online, ICE agents surrounded a car with a child in it, smashed the window and took the man in the driver's seat, as the woman next to him cried and prayed.

It doesn't matter if they are in pain, hungry, thirsty, or kids on board. Some of these transits are more than 30 hrs in shackles. A few flights might address needs but the records show they opt for cruelty. If victims complain, ICE restrains them further.

ICE cannot do what it’s doing without local law enforcement. They need their manpower and infrastructure. That means if you want to stop ICE you are going to have to confront police collaboration and police power. I’m sorry but progressive hopes of avoiding this conflict are a recipe for failure.
