Honestly if I could acquire $300 mil in capital (which would probably be the money required to buy Arcane Studios) I wouldn't. Making Video Games is not a good financial investment. Everything lateral to it is extremely lucrative, from marketing to publishing. But not development.

The most important difference between now & in the past. In the past the prices affected consumers and businesses alone. Now world governments are pushing for "AI" dominance, and subsidizing much of it, especially the USA and China. Fines won't change it, it's the cost of doing business.

I'm out and about because it's Summer. My kid doesn't want to come outdoors cause it's too hot. Heat doesn't bother me, cold doesn't bother me. I'm a mutant. 💪 Every day is a perfect day! Except thunderstorms, I like rain, I don't like weighing an extra 60lbs cause I'm soaking wet.

This is sad. Over 4 decades here and they have to close shop. This has been happening a lot in our neighborhood. Middle range independent restaurants are closing left and right. Cheap corporate food is thriving, and the ultra expensive is thriving. So we have two choices $100/per person or Naya's

The credit scoring system is pretty whack. Having zero debt only nets me 799 max. For almost 8 yrs now after clearing all debt, my score has never gone to 800+. When I carried debt it was always above 800. What a dumb ass system. 😂

This is shrinkflation. Lenwich, which is a sandwich chain, now has smaller slices of rye bread, which makes the rest of the sandwich smaller, for the same price. Not even my own store bought rye is just 5 finger widths wide. They were traditional oval shaped 2 months ago & every other time prior.

We just left the theater. This is our 3rd viewing and it's only been out 3 days. We really like the movie. I really enjoy this version of Kara Zor-El. It's not the comic Woman of Tomorrow, but it doesn't have to be. Clark is and should be the boy scout, Kara is the emotionally damaged bad ass.

We are city slickers. I have an oven, but I'm teaching her how to do a roast on the stove top. She wanted it for dinner so it's her first lesson. It's quicker than in the oven & the method allows a more moist & juicy roast. Also dinner is late cause we spent so much time talking about what to do.

My kid wants to learn how to cook. 🥹 Summertime is a great time to teach, cause school's out. I have to reteach myself to use measurements, cause I've been cooking for so long it's just a dash of this, pour of that. 😅 Biggest hurdle I think is teaching her to use her fingers & eyes to gauge meat.

This. Going into debt for a toy (I am also one who plays with these toys) is a bad idea. Gaming may be your recourse to deal with life, but it will only make your life harder if you are in debt.

When video games were $50, I'd try games I normally wouldn't buy at full price, when they went on sale for $40 or $35 (20% to 30% off, pretty typical first sale price). Now that they are $80, I don't because they are still above $50 at 30% off. It's about value proposition of an unknown.
