I must be the only person in the universe that thinks DLSS 5 looks amazing. I’m somewhat regretting my AMD 9070XT purchase. Only somewhat though, it’s brilliant so far but the next GPU will be Nvidia for sure.

I am looking for excellent freelance writers who specialise in sport (not football, got that covered), music and entertainment. I've always wanted to do The Set Pieces again. I felt like if I knew then what I know now it would have been so much better. And now's my chance! So....who's good?

So finally finished my big AVFC 24/25 thread (having a toddler & newborn is hard man). Our transfer activity is going to be quite limited, so I'll focus on why we had a down year & how we might improve with the same players; specifically turning tools into production in our new 22-25 year old core.

I’ve just come off a TikTok where grown adults are saying they can’t drink water because they don’t like the taste and it makes them feel sick. Are these real people?

Anyone else surprised that we can’t compete for players with a nation state club who financially dopes their way to success, breaking the rules as they go, with one of the greatest managers in the game? Calma Villa fans, it’s all good. #avfc

Just tuned into the England game, this result is an absolute disgrace. Serious questions to be asked of Tuchel. I’m sure he will blame the players again mind.

I’m genuinely sad about X being what it is. It used to be a brilliant place to engage with people about football and learn about the game. Now the level of discussion is appalling, it’s pathetic partisan takes and fans trying to score points against each other.

Was recording of my son at bath time and forgot to stop recording and put my phone in my pocket, so I’ve got 30 minutes audio of our bedtime routine together including bed time stories. It’s the best video I’ve ever made, I’ll be coming back to this for my years to come 🥹

I thought the Tories are bad, I now have a fully Reform town council. The candidates have promised nothing tangible that they can achieve, campaigned on national issues.

That hurts. A lot. We can only blame ourselves. Go win the FA Cup and make sure we finish as high as we can in the league now. #avfc

One for my pal @deanmoulder.bsky.social here, Villa adding Sverre Halseth Nypan would be a great get from a squad-building perspective, the sort that you probably can't lose on. This level of output from any 18 y/o centre midfielder is eye-catching enough to believe the 'hype' #AVFC

Mythbusting: Liam Delap 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 The most time I've spent watching one player for these. If you're hoping for me to say that Liam Delap is ready to *start* consistently for a UCL team, you might be disappointed. However, my assessment of Delap is still one of my most positive ones!

A bruising game. The game plan was good, sit in and challenge them to beat us. They had the individual quality to score the goals and we took our only chance. If anything the score line flatters us. Losing that third goal was really damaging. Really proud of the lads though.

I guess we all know this subconsciously but don’t often reflect on it, but it is unnerving to learn that your fate or least prosperity is (somewhat) in the hands of world leaders, global banks, stock traders. Trump is having a Truss, and us lemmings have to suffer it.

Dean Moulder @deanmoulder.bsky.social · 06/04/2025

Two out of three. What a week for Villa so far. I felt pretty bullish about the Forest game and it was justified. It has left me feeling a bit ‘what if…’ for the league season, but still so much to play for, it’s amazing. Do you want to bet against us? #avfc

040

Dean Moulder @deanmoulder.bsky.social · 05/04/2025

Villa trying to sit on the lead and have lost the initiative and grip on the game, the sloppiness continues and the game is now back in the balance. Momentum totally shifted. Forest on top.

010

Dean Moulder @deanmoulder.bsky.social · 05/04/2025

Dominant 45 minutes from Villa, two excellent goals and control of the ball and game. A bit sloppy for the last 5 minutes, so need to shake that off. Forest rarely put in this position where they are behind in a game and have to push for several goals. #avfc

Dean Moulder @deanmoulder.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

A few weeks ago I was pretty downbeat about Villa’s season, now I’m pretty excited. Massive 10 days coming up. I would say the defining period of the season. Beat Brighton and Forest and we’re back in the mix, then survive in Paris, then who knows? Would you want to bet against us? #avfc

Didn't get time in the week so here's some post-Chelsea win numbers. Truth is Villa have just been good but not great, not run hot over our chance creation like last season with career bests from Bailey, Watkins, Luiz + more. Others have stepped up into that Tottenham/Villa void & got the points.
