45 asylum seekers imprisoned in Georgia's Folkston ICE detention center went on hunger strike today. Some have been in this concentration camp for three years. They demand immediate release into the US, protection from re-detention and deportation, and reunification with loved ones.

CBP issued a fine for more than $900,000 to a woman who came to the U.S. from Guatemala to escape domestic violence.

“I’ve had days when I don’t sleep, thinking that at any moment they can knock on my door, arrest, me, leave my children alone,” she said in an interview with Scripps News. “I couldn’t pay off all that money even with my whole life.”

Citizens Bank said it's ending its credit facilities with CoreCivic and GEO Group, but hasn't provided a timeline for its exit or committed not to lend to the companies in the future. "Where we choose to do business is an expression of our community’s values.” 👏👏👏

In one instance, a male cleaning staff member repeatedly entered a women’s bathroom when he knew teenage girls were inside, naked and showering. In that instance, the girls’ mother submitted a grievance. But it was the girls who were the ones who paid for that complaint, as an official forced them to undergo a physical and mental examination.

A CoreCivic spokesperson failed to respond to an email seeking comment.
